HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM

     Who is Eligible to Receive a Housing Choice Voucher?
   

To be considered eligible, a family's gross income may not exceed 50% of the local median family income adjusted for family size. The local median family income for a family of four in Montgomery County is $34,400.

Interested applicants must complete an application for Housing Choice Voucher housing. To be eligible, all family members over the age of 18 must pass the MCHA screening criteria which includes a criminal background history check. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and fall within the income guidelines set for the program.

Interested participants must meet income eligibility requirements and other requirements as set forth by MCHA and the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD).
